Duties

• Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to detect suspicious activity and ensure ongoing safety.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeters, to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by implementing established emergency response procedures such as fire safety protocols or medical assistance.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for future review and action.
• Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Utilize law enforcement knowledge when necessary to handle conflicts de-escalation situations or enforce legal compliance.

Skills

• Proven experience with surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control platforms.
• Strong background in law enforcement, military service, or related security fields is highly desirable.
• Certified in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), and fire safety procedures.
• Skilled in manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and physical security measures to prevent unauthorized access or theft.
• Excellent incident report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security screenings efficiently.
• Proficient in conflict management and conflict de-escalation strategies to handle tense situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures including Taser use, firearm handling (where permitted), and emergency medical interventions.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse individuals.
• Physical fitness required for patrolling duties, heavy lifting, and maintaining alertness during long shifts.
