Security Officer/Receptionist (Full-Time)

Position: Security Officer, Full-time

Description:

As a highly motivated and confident member of Armed Force Security, Inc., you will be responsible for the safeguarding and surveillance of our client’s site to prevent and deter theft, violent activity, and legal infractions while ensuring uninterrupted efficiency of building operations. In this position you will conduct effective unarmed foot patrols, control access and egress, monitor electronic screening equipment and video surveillance, operate alarm systems, compose reports, and perform other duties described in your Post Orders. We are looking for highly qualified individuals to fill open positions around SF Bay Area at various sites and locations.

Responsibilities:

* Complete and deliver timely and accurate reports

* Conduct effective security patrols

* Execute and enforce client specific tasks

* Maintain client confidentiality

* Observe, report and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence

* Provide support in the event of an emergency or alarm

Skills:

* Ability to evaluate and deescalate conflicts/arguments

* Ability to work either alone, unsupervised or with a team

* Accurate and detailed report writing

* Effectively operate communications equipment and smartphone technology

* Familiarity with various patrolling and monitoring techniques

* Incredible attention to detail

* Interact and communicate effectively

*Must be able to use basic office equipment (computer, fax)

Education:

* CA BSIS Guard Registration

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; or higher education (preferred)

Other requirements:

* Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, indoor and outdoor, under various Environmental conditions

* Pass pre-employment drug screening and clear background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.25 – $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
