Job Description

As a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Duties in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced automotive location where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access points and visitor flow. You will document observations, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and deliver a customer-focused experience. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the automotive location, including building interiors, parking areas, loading bays, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and traffic flow by checking identification, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and observing vehicle entry and/or exit for unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate documentation such as shift reports, incident reports, and patrol activity logs, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
