Job Description

As a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Detail in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, monitoring assigned areas through routine rounds and a strong visible presence. You will document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering thoughtful customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and interior activity, checking identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate destination in accordance with site policy.
• Document observations and incidents in written reports and electronic logs, and communicate shift activity to site management and/or the next shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Have CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• Have CPR Certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
