Job Overview
The Shout! House is seeking a professional, attentive and hospitable Security Guard to join our team. As part of our high-energy dueling piano bar, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests, staff and the show. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced nightlife environments, demonstrates excellent judgment under pressure, and upholds our commitment to creating a fun, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence throughout the venue to ensure guest safety and protect property.
• Monitor guest behavior to identify signs of over-intoxication, disturbances, or potential safety concerns.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and guest inquiries.
• Awareness while working along side the stage to ensure the Piano performance operates smooth without uncalled interference.
• Enforce venue policies and alcohol regulations with professionalism and tact.
• Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations.
• Collaborate with management, bartenders, and other team members to maintain a consistent awareness of guest activity and venue flow.
• Write clear, detailed reports documenting incidents, interventions, and observations when necessary.
• Communication with fellow security guards, bartenders, and management via radio to ensure

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience in nightlife, entertainment, security, or law enforcement preferred.
• Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
• Must obtain California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact positively with both guests and staff.
• Excellent situational awareness and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Team-oriented attitude with a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
