Schedule: Varies by assignment; morning, evening, weekend, and holiday availability preferred.

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable, professional Security Guards who can maintain a safe environment while treating every guest, employee, and client with courtesy and respect. Assignments may include special events, hospitality venues, commercial properties, and faith-based organizations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence and follow assigned post orders.
• Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and guest activity.
• Conduct foot patrols and identify safety hazards or suspicious activity.
• Perform authorized bag checks, credential verification, and access control.
• Use calm communication and de-escalation skills to address conflicts.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies within your training and assigned duties.
• Notify supervisors and emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity reports.
• Protect confidential client, employee, and operational information.
• Maintain a clean uniform, professional appearance, and punctual attendance.
• Accurately record all time worked and follow company timekeeping procedures.
• Keep personal cell phone use from interfering with assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Reliable transportation and ability to report to assigned locations on time.
• Strong communication, observation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, exercise sound judgment, and remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to perform assigned patrol and post duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to complete required onboarding and assignment-specific training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or hospitality experience.
• Experience with festivals, nightlife, special events, or access control.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, BLS, or other emergency response training.
• Experience writing incident reports and using two-way radios.
• Bilingual communication skills.
