PURPOSE:

The Field Training Officer is an important resource to ensure field staff are properly trained. Your purpose is to conduct initial onsite interviews, Company Presentation, initial training with staff and remedial training. Communication is mission critical in this role. Maintaining a pleasant, but also direct style of communication will minimize misunderstandings. You must follow company procedure and clearly communicate company procedures to field staff. This can be a high stress role where you must be able to manage a lot of information and staff members at once.

QUALIFICATIONS:

❑ Supervisor Experience a plus

❑ Proficient is Microsoft Office

❑ CPR Certified

KEY ATTITUDES:

● Urgency – Dealing with tasks in real time [DO AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN DO IT RIGHT]

● Communication – ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff and management

● Calm under pressure – handle stress caused by client and staff issues and follows company

protocols

● Detail oriented – able to follow company policies and procedures AT ALL TIMES

● Flexibility – Being able to adjust to the company’s needs on short notice

DEAL BREAKERS:

● Not following directions or unwilling to do tasks assigned

● Lack of communication or dishonesty

● Inability to remain calm and impartial

● Not taking ownership

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to enclosed list)

● Initial and remedial onsite training w/ new Officers with Training Checklist

● Site Checks

● Working shifts in the field

● Reviewing reports of new staff and providing feedback and one-on-one time

● Other errands / duties asked by Ops Managers and VP of Ops

● Updating Training Checklists as needed

● Weekly Company Presentations

● Monthly Training classes w/ staff (OC Spray, Career Progression, etc.)

● Reviewing Destiny Reports and QR Code Scans

● Managing Escalation Process

● FTO will be cross-trained on Dispatch and will assist with Dispatch shifts as necessary but never while on site completing trainings

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (100%):

❑ Every new hire is trained on their first day of work w/ the appropriate training checklist

❑ Training checklists (Initial or Remedial) are scanned and emailed the same day as the training

❑ Required remedial training is limited to once in first 30 days

BENEFITS:

❑ Overtime on Memorial Day, July 4 th , Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
