HIRING IMMEDIATELY – FULL-TIME ARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Green Knight Security is currently seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional Full-Time Armed Security Officer for a retail security assignment in the 92113 area of San Diego, California.

Position: Full-Time Armed Security Officer
Pay: $30.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience
Location: San Diego, CA 92113
Scheduled Hours: Approximately 42 hours per week

Schedule

• Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Additional shifts may become available. Candidates who are reliable, flexible, and willing to pick up additional hours when needed are strongly preferred.

Position Summary

This position provides armed security services in a retail environment. The ideal candidate will have significant armed security experience, excellent communication skills, strong report-writing abilities, sound judgment, and demonstrated experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation.

Applicants must have a minimum of three years of professional armed security experience.

The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, confidence, good judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, store management, Green Knight Security management, and members of the public.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and highly visible armed security presence at the assigned retail location.
• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout assigned areas.
• Monitor entrances, exits, access points, and other designated areas.
• Observe and identify suspicious activity, safety concerns, and potential security threats.
• Respond appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, theft-related activity, and emergencies.
• Utilize professional verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts whenever possible.
• Assist with theft prevention and other retail security concerns.
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining appropriate security awareness.
• Document incidents, observations, contacts, and unusual activity through clear and detailed written reports.
• Immediately notify management of serious incidents or significant security concerns.
• Work cooperatively with store management, Green Knight Security supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor throughout the entire shift.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum four years of professional armed security experience required.
• Must possess a current and valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Must possess a current and valid California BSIS Firearms Permit.
• Must meet all legal and company requirements for carrying a firearm while on duty.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have strong professional report-writing skills.
• Must demonstrate effective conflict-resolution and de-escalation techniques.
• Must be able to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Must demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Must successfully complete all required background screening and company hiring requirements.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
• Prior military or law enforcement experience is a plus, but not required.
