Loss Prevention Officer- Retail

Eagles Point Security is seeking highly observant, professional, and reliable Loss Prevention Officers to protect a high-traffic retail location in San Ysidro, CA. Position: Loss Prevention Officer

Location: San Ysidro, CA
Type: Part-Time
Pay: $21.00/hr
Shift: Day Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a strong security presence inside a high-volume retail store

• Observe, identify, and report suspicious behavior or potential theft activity

• Conduct undercover or high-visibility loss prevention patrols depending on assignment

• Deter theft through professional engagement and observation

• Support store management during incidents or emergencies

• Complete accurate written reports on incidents, observations, or recoveries

• Monitor entrances/exits and enforce store loss-prevention policies

• Work closely with retail staff to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment

• Respond quickly and professionally to high-risk situations

✅ Requirements:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card (Required)

• A working smartphone with data

• Reliable transportation to and from the site

• Strong customer-service and communication skills

• Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts

• Excellent situational awareness and ability to remain alert

• Experience in retail loss prevention or security preferred, but not required

• Ability to observe discreetly without confrontation unless authorized
