As a Security Officer – Vehicle Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail shopping location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist guests and tenants with directions and concerns, and communicate clearly with your team. What You’ll Do:

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and take appropriate action to help to deter unwanted activity while maintaining a professional presence.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, disturbances, and medical calls until help arrives.
Complete reports and daily activity logs, communicate key information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and assist with access control and tenant support as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Be 21+ years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
