Security Officer – Large Construction Site Patrol

As a Security Officer – Large Construction Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, where you will conduct routine mobile and on-foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and/or escalating concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access when required, and/or assist with visitor and employee screening procedures in accordance with location policies.
- Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with staff and visitors, and/or preparing accurate reports related to incidents, patrols, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
