Armed Security Officer

Morning and Overnight shift:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – Morning

Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday – Overnight

1800-0600 & 2100-0500 depending on site and coverage needed

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Armed Security Officer will play a crucial role in deterring criminal activity and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

MUST HAVE:

• Duty weapon
• Retention holster
• Commissioned Guard Card
• Copies of relevant certificates and MMPI

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular checks of security systems, including CCTV.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to maintain a safe environment for all personnel.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing detailed reports of incidents.
• Conduct conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraud attempts.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

Qualifications

• Valid armed security license or certification as required by state regulations.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred; additional training in conflict management is a plus.
• Experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Customer service skills,
• Physically capable of being on your feet for long periods of time,
• Previous experience a plus!
• Must have clean driving history, must be able to adhere to schedule without issue, previous guard experience a plus!

Requirements

• Up-to-date Commissioned Guard Card, Duty Weapon (9mm, .40 or .45), retention holster (lvl 2 or lvl 3), copies of all relevant certificates.
• Must be capable to submit all required reports through phone application (Tracktik).
