Overnight Security Supervisor

SMR Security Services is seeking a dependable, experienced, and solutions-driven Overnight Security Supervisor to join our growing team. This position serves as the primary supervisor leader during overnight hours, overseeing security operations across multiple client sites. The Overnight Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining staffing and shift coverage, supporting and supervising field personnel, responding to incidents and operational concerns, and ensuring all sites remain properly staffed, compliant, and supported throughout the night.

Compensation

$40,000–$45,000/year+ commission bonuses, based on experience and leadership ability, and security contract management background

What You’ll Do

• Manage overnight security operations across multiple client sites, including staffing, shift coverage, call-offs, officer deployment, and emergency response.
• Conduct routine and unannounced site inspections to ensure officer performance, attendance, uniform standards, post-order compliance, and service quality.
• Supervise, coach, and support overnight security personnel while addressing performance concerns, incidents, and operational issues.
• Serve as the primary overnight operational point of contact and provide timely updates to the Operations Manager regarding significant incidents, staffing concerns, and client issues.
• Review operational documentation, monitor timekeeping and overtime, and ensure a smooth transition of information and unresolved matters to daytime management.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2-3 years of security industry experience, with previous supervisory, field leadership, or security operations experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, scheduling, shift coverage, incident response, and employee supervision.
• Proven ability to independently manage overnight operations, make sound decisions, and respond effectively to emergencies and staffing challenges.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple client sites and priorities.
• Must possess a valid Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer License.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to work a dedicated overnight schedule and maintain all required Texas security licenses and certifications.

Preferred

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• Professional certifications or state security management certifications.
• Experience managing multiple large accounts and contract security programs.
