Position Summary

Rapid Response Security is seeking qualified retired individuals or individuals with 12+ years of law enforcement experience for a full-time hybrid security role, Personal Protection Officer. This hybrid role demands a high level of LE training experience and professionalism to manage both general security operations and close-protection scenarios. This is a level 3-armed security officer with level 4 duties.

The hybrid primary role is to ensure the safety and security of assigned premises and assets, while providing personal protection for high-profile individuals as required. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of security protocols, advanced tactical skills, and exceptional judgment in high-stress situations. The officer will operate under the authority of a state-recognized (T.O.P.S.) Commissioned Security Officer (Level 3) and Personal Protection Officer (Level 4) license.

The position is a 12-hour shift with 3 days on and 3 days off

What Youll Do

• 
  Patrol and surveillance: Conduct regular armed patrols of the assigned property, including monitoring CCTV systems and alarm panels. (Patrolling in vehicle and foot security tours in a Level 3 capacity from time to time or for special circumstances)
• 
  Access control: Enforce strict access control procedures for employees, visitors, and vehicles at all entry and exit points. (Working at a front desk)
• 
  Emergency response: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and active threats.
• 
  Incident reporting: Document and report all incidents, accidents, or irregularities in a detailed and timely manner.
• 
  Enforce rules: Ensure compliance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• 
  Liaison: Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services as needed.
• 
  Maintain readiness: Ensure all security equipment and weapons are well-maintained and in proper working order.
• 
  Threat assessment: Conduct meticulous risk assessments for clients and their surroundings to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• 
  Client protection: Provide close protection for assigned individuals during business operations, travel, and public appearances. This may include working in plain clothes and carrying concealed weapons, where permitted.

  Route planning: Plan and secure safe travel routes and venues for clients.
• 
  Tactical skills: Utilize patrol defensive tactics and protective strategies, including verbal de-escalation, conflict resolution, and unarmed defensive techniques.

  Situational awareness: Maintain a high level of situational awareness, anticipating and preventing threats before they escalate.
• 
  Liaison with authorities: Coordinate protective activities with local authorities to ensure a seamless security detail.
• 
  Confidentiality: Always maintain strict client confidentiality and discretion.

What Were Looking For

• Prior law enforcement experience is required retired or 12+ years experience.
• Active state-issued Level 3 (Commissioned Officer) and Level 4 (Personal Protection Officer) licenses are required. If not certified, we will assist with the licensing needed.
• Completion of all mandatory state-approved training, including firearms proficiency and personal protection courses. We will assist with the needed licensing.
• Advanced skills in threat assessment, surveillance, and defensive tactics.
• Proficiency with relevant security technology, including CCTV, alarms, and communication systems.
• Exceptional computer skills (Navigate within Windows: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, staff, and law enforcement.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Physically fit and capable of reacting quickly to emergencies (lift at least 50 lbs.)
• Must have an excellent driving history and no criminal record
• Must have exceptional report writing skills
• Capable of working indoors and outdoors, primarily during the day, with some night hours
• Rapid Response Security LLC will provide uniforms.
• The primary position is Level 4, which requires maintaining a concealed firearm.
