Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team and work part time. This role is for 30-35 hours per week and requires a Texas Level 3 security license and a strong background in security, law enforcement, or military service, along with excellent conflict management skills.

Duties

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and reporting them to management.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the safety of individuals in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and property damage.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and report any unusual occurrences or safety hazards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security, or military service is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques; certification is a plus.
• Strong surveillance skills with experience in operating CCTV systems.
• Excellent conflict management abilities to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Familiarity with loss prevention tactics and strategies.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Must possess a valid Texas Level 3 armed security license as required by state regulations.

Pay: $17.00 – $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
