Armed Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant, professional, and disciplined Armed Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment and a private establishment. This position focuses on protecting guests, employees, property, and high-value assets while providing a visible security presence and professional customer service.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced nightlife environment, managing large crowds, responding to disturbances, and handling potentially volatile situations involving intoxicated or disorderly patrons. The officer must exercise sound judgment, maintain composure under pressure, and consistently follow company policies and applicable security regulations. This is a two-officer posting.

Work Schedule

• Friday – Saturday – Sunday – Monday | 9pm- 5am
• 40 Hours per week

Duties

• Maintain a highly visible security presence throughout the establishment to include entrances, exits, and lobby floor.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, theft, fights, unauthorized access, vandalism, or other security concerns.
• Patrol lobby, and restricted-access areas to identify safety and security issues.
• Monitor entrances and verify identification, age requirements, guest credentials, employee access, and prohibited items in accordance with property policies.
• Control access to employee-only, cash-handling, gaming, VIP, and other restricted areas.
• Respond quickly to disturbances, intoxicated or disorderly patrons, suspected theft, medical emergencies, alarms, and other incidents.
• Use professional verbal de-escalation and conflict-management techniques to resolve patron disputes while maintaining the safety of guests and employees.
• Assist management and law enforcement when appropriate with incidents involving trespassing, theft, assault, fraud, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
• Enforce property rules regarding disruptive behavior, dress code, intoxication, weapons, smoking, restricted areas, and other prohibited conduct.
• Escort removed or ejected patrons from the property in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
• Protect high-value areas and assets, including gaming operations, cash-handling areas, equipment, and restricted facilities.
• Respond to emergency alarms and follow established procedures for fire, evacuation, medical, and security emergencies.
• Carry and responsibly operate authorized security equipment, including firearms and less-lethal equipment, in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and company policy.
• Complete clear, detailed, and accurate incident reports documenting disturbances, ejections, injuries, suspicious activity, arrests, property damage, and other noteworthy events.
• Maintain professional communication with bartenders, staff, managers, guests, vendors, and law enforcement personnel.
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer-service-oriented attitude while remaining alert to potential security threats.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in bar, nightclub, casino, gaming, hospitality, law enforcement, military, or security environments is highly desirable.
• Experience dealing with intoxicated, disorderly, aggressive, or high-risk individuals preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access-control systems, radios, alarm systems, and other security technology.
• Strong understanding of crowd control, patron safety, trespass procedures, and conflict de-escalation.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, fire safety, first aid, CPR, and AED operation.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive during fights, disturbances, emergencies, and other high-pressure situations.
• Ability to identify suspicious behavior, potential theft, unauthorized access, and other security risks.
• Strong written communication skills for completing detailed incident reports.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical duties when required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during high-volume events.
• Must meet all applicable requirements for armed security licensing, firearms qualification, and security equipment required by the property and jurisdiction.
• Strong customer-service skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of patrons and employees.

This is a paid position offering the opportunity to work in an active, fast-paced entertainment environment while developing valuable experience in armed security.

Pay: $23.00 – $28.65 per hour
