Security Guard

We are a prominent export shipping company specializing in used and salvage car exports in sea containers, with four US and four international offices. We are seeking a reliable and well-organized Security Guard to join our team at our auto export warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, monitoring access, and verifying scheduled appointments for drivers. This is a night shift position for weekends only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol industrial and commercial areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly.
• Monitor and authorize the entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and drivers to safeguard against theft and maintain overall security.
• Verify daily driver appointments upon arrival and ensure they are scheduled as per the calendar.
• Contact emergency services, such as police or fire departments, in the event of emergencies including fires or unauthorized access.
• Maintain order and protect property by interacting with visitors, patrons, and employees.
• Operate screening devices to prevent the entry of prohibited items into restricted areas.
• Escort or transport individuals to designated locations and provide personal protection as needed.
• Regularly inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure they are functioning properly and to detect any tampering.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate security screening devices and other related equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to work the day shift.
