Loss Prevention Officer

Your presence is the job. A well-trained Loss Prevention Officer doesnt stop problems by force they stop problems before they start. You are calm, visible, professional, and approachable. You protect the guest experience by being part of it.

THE SAMMY FRAMEWORK – HOW YOU OPERATE EVERY SHIFT

WHAT YOU OWN – CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain visible, professional presence in your assigned zone at all times
• ID verification at El ltimo and all age-restricted areas zero exceptions
• Monitor crowd density, behavior, and alcohol consumption across bar areas
• Identify and de-escalate conflicts before they develop voice and calm first
• Coordinate in real time with bartenders, servers, and Shift Leads
• Document all incidents accurately and submit log before clocking out
• Conduct regular walkthroughs including restrooms and blind spots
• Monitor for theft and suspicious behavior across all stations and Mercado
• Never physically detain a guest observe, document, involve management
• Maintain confidentiality on all incidents and investigations always

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

• Bouncer whose first instinct is physical intervention
• Intimidating presence that makes guests feel profiled
• Someone who stands in one corner waiting for problems
• Substitute for law enforcement observe and involve authorities

WHAT YOU BRING

• Security, LP, military, or law enforcement background preferred
• Strong de-escalation skills demonstrated, not just claimed
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Must be 21+, pass background check, TABC preferred
