Unarmed Security Guard

The Security Guard will monitor people and property from possible criminal activity.

This is a 30 hour a week job or more

License Requirement
This position requires a Texas Level 2 (Non-Commissioned) Security Officer license. Applicants must either already hold a valid license or be willing to obtain one.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities.
• Monitors surveillance systems spanning multiple properties.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain logs via cloud record keeping system
• Operates multi-site surveillance system

• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Authoritative verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
• Computer skills: record keeping, emails, surveillance system, mobile devices
• Self Motivated Personality Required
• Must be able to maintain positive working relationships with the buildings tenants

Education and Experience:

• 2 Years Level 2 Security Experience
• Current Texas DPS Level 2 License, or the ability to pass a background check to get one
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
• Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
