Level III Security Officer – PART TIME (FLEX) – MUST HAVE LEO BACKGROUND

Job Title: Armed Security Guard

Region/Area: San Antonio, Texas

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Status: Part Time – Flex (as needed)

Length of Contract: 3 years – Shifts run every week at multipe locations, Monday-Saturday.

Position Summary:

First Responder Protective Services is looking to add an additional part time, uniformed Security Guards to our growing team.

To be eligible, you must either be a retired, reserve or former police officer, in good standing with the Law Enforcement Agency. Credentials/licensing will need to be provided for review.

The current openings are for an as needed, last minute response for general security presence at financial institutions across the greater San Antonio area. Off-Duty Police Officers primarily work the shifts due to being a specific client request. However, if no Off-Duty Police Officer is available, a uniformed, armed guard can step in, provided they are either retired, reserve or a former police officer, and their license is/was in good standing with TCOLE.

Daytime "bankers" hours. These shifts will ALWAYS be a last minute response to fill an otherwise void. The ideal candidate is not relying on this for steady work, but rather, would pick this up to be available for the occassional call to work.

Security guards must furnish their own firearm and holster. The firearm must be on the approved manufacturer list with the FRPS firearms coordinator. The holster must also have level 3 retention.

The ideal candidate will possess high levels of integrity, professionalism, willingness to train, strong work ethic and contribute well to a team approach.

• $30 per hour
• W2 position – OT starts after 40 hours in same work week
• Possibility of working other details to accrue more hours each week
• Bi-weekly direct deposit payment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must either be a retired, reserve or former police officer, with a license that was/is still in good standing with TCOLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• Must be able to obtain a Level III Texas Commissioned Security Guard License, prior to employment.
• MUST Currently possess a valid TX Driver's License, or be able to obtain one prior to hire.
• A Level III Texas Commissioned Security Guard License is preferred, but not required to apply.
• Favorable driving history with a valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Ability to sit and stand for long hours.
