Armed Security Officer

Job Overview
BPS Security is looking for 2 Part time Level 3 Officers who have weekend availability.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol designated areas.
• Conduct regular security checks to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies, utilizing CPR or First Aid as needed.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
• Manage conflicts effectively through conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies.
• Control access points by verifying credentials and inspecting packages or vehicles as necessary.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential security breaches or theft risks.

Skills

• Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or professional security roles.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems.
• Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally.

Pay: From $23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
