Armed Security Officer

Job Description

Security Firm is hiring professional Armed Security Officers for a position located in Miami, FL. This role requires individuals with verified law enforcement or military experience who demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to maintain a safe and controlled environment involving the protection of people, property, and operations.

Requirements

• Law enforcement or military credentials
• D&G Security License
• Florida Armed Security (G License)
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Clean, professional appearance at all times
• Must have Full tactical uniform : (Level III holster, Fitted black DBUs, Black plate carrier)

Experience

• Prior service as a law enforcement officer (local, state, or federal) or prior U.S. military service
• Experience enforcing rules, policies, and procedures while maintaining public safety
• Proven ability to assess threats and respond appropriately to incidents
• Familiarity with use-of-force standards, de-escalation, and professional conduct
• Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills under pressure

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence in a populated civilian environment
• Monitor access points and control entry to ensure only authorized individuals are permitted
• Identify, assess, and prevent potential threats or safety risks before escalation
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure the safety of individuals and facilities
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, or security concerns
• Apply de-escalation techniques to resolve situations involving civilians
• Enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and security policies
• Provide immediate response and coordination during critical incidents

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
