Schedule: Sub-Part time Monday-Thursday from 5pm-close

About the Role

We are hiring a strong, disciplined, and dependable Security Officer to join our team at Key Foods Supermarket. This is a Level 1 security post in a grocery store environment. The position is ready-to-hire and starts immediately.

This is a position — reliability and flexibility are critical. The right candidate must have a militant mindset and the ability to enforce procedures without hesitation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.
• Observe and report all suspicious activity or violations.
• No phone use while on shift.
• Do not leave post unless properly relieved.
• Complete 30-minute patrols around the store as required.
• Take only a 15-minute break during shift.
• Uphold company standards based on military-style procedures and technical accountability.

Requirements

• Must be serious, reliable, and disciplined.
• Ability to work Sub-Part time shifts Monday-Thursday from 5pm-close
• Must follow all company protocols and procedures without exception.
• Must be able to start -on date

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in protecting property and preventing loss through proactive surveillance and intervention.

Duties

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct thorough inspections of premises and report any irregularities or safety hazards.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.

Requirements

• Valid armed security officer certification is required.
• Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR; certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.

Required Gear & Uniform (If Applicable to the Position)

Applicants must be fully equipped before starting. Sparta Security Services does not supply gear. You must arrive with the following:

• Body armor / protective vest
• Duty belt
• Firearm (approved handgun)
• Gun holster
• Three magazines
• All-black attire (plain, no colors)
• All-black footwear (boots or work shoes)
• Optional: all-black hat or scully
• Any security-related clothing must have appropriate patches or no visible non-security markings
