Job Description

As a Security Officer – Retail Site – Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support store teams with strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile, caring mindset to every shift.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, back-of-house areas, and parking areas, noting unusual activity and conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations, and report concerns according to post orders.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
