Job Description

As a Security Officer – Armed Retail Center – Full Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This position is both armed and requires driving, offering you the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the retail environment to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to company and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
