Armed Security Guard for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

Wasson Protection One is seeking highly skilled and dependable Armed Security Guards to join our professional security team. We are specifically looking for individuals to work weekends – Fridays, Saturday and Sundays. As well as prior military, law enforcement, or private security experience who demonstrate discipline, accountability, and strong situational awareness.

Successful candidates must either hold a valid Arizona DPS Armed Guard Card or be able to qualify and obtain one prior to assignment. Armed Security Guards will be responsible for safeguarding clients, property, and personnel while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and adherence to company policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visible armed security presence to deter crime and ensure safety of clients and staff.
• Monitor, patrol, and secure assigned premises (foot, vehicle, or static post assignments).
• Enforce access control, verify identification, and monitor security systems when required.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and incidents with professionalism and in accordance with company Use-of-Force policies.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and equipment checklists.
• Maintain excellent communication with supervisors, clients, and public safety partners (law enforcement, EMS, fire).
• Ensure compliance with Arizona DPS licensing requirements, firearms qualification standards, and company training protocols.
• Represent Wasson Protection One with professionalism, integrity, and respect in all client and public interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Military, law enforcement, or private security experience preferred.
• Must hold a current Arizona DPS Armed Guard Card or be able to qualify under DPS standards before deployment.
• Ability to successfully complete firearms qualification and company defensive tactics training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or within a team.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications a plus.
• Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and employment verification.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior service in U.S. Armed Forces (Honorable Discharge).
• Prior experience as sworn law enforcement officer.
• Experience in executive protection, mobile patrol, or specialized security assignments.
• CPR, First Aid, or tactical medical certification.
• Advanced firearms training or instructor-level credentials.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
