Unarmed Security Guard

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to work an overnight shift 10:00 pm – 6:00 am. In this vital role, you will monitor the environment, enforce security protocols, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors and staff alike. Your proactive approach will ensure a secure, welcoming atmosphere while adhering to all regulatory standards.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks and ensure compliance with safety policies
• Monitor surveillance systems and access control points to maintain secure entry and exit procedures
• Write detailed incident reports for any suspicious activities, accidents, or security breaches
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, or security threats
• Badge Checks and printing badges, verifying identification and authorizations for entry
• Assist visitors with directions and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV and access control systems
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and emergency response protocols
• Ability to perform first aid, CPR, AED operation, and basic firefighting techniques (Taser experience is a plus)
• Physical security expertise including manual handling, heavy lifting, and patrolling techniques
• Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management abilities to handle tense situations calmly
• Familiarity with performing background checks and ensuring compliance with security regulations
• Effective incident report writing skills with attention to detail
• Customer service orientation with professional communication skills
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations while maintaining composure under pressure

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
