Armed Security Officer

Vigilance Protection Services, LLC is currently seeking experienced, dependable, and highly professional Armed Security Officers to join our growing team of security professionals. Our company was founded with the goal of raising the standard of private security services by combining professional officer presence, modern security technology, and comprehensive reporting systems that provide our clients with transparency and accountability.

Armed Security Officers play a critical role in protecting client properties, employees, customers, and assets. Officers are expected to maintain a strong visible deterrent presence while demonstrating professionalism, situational awareness, and sound judgment in all situations.

Assignments may include commercial properties, retail locations, apartment communities, industrial facilities, distribution centers, and other client locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, maintain a high level of integrity, and understand the responsibility that comes with providing armed security services.

Former military personnel and former law enforcement professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay Range

• $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
• Pay rate determined by experience, qualifications, and assignment requirements

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible armed security presence designed to deter criminal activity and unauthorized behavior
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned property including
• Parking areas
• Building perimeters
• Entrances and exits
• Stairwells and common areas
• Observe property activity and identify suspicious behavior, safety hazards, trespassing, or theft attempts
• Respond to disturbances, alarms, and security related incidents in a calm and professional manner
• Maintain detailed documentation of incidents and daily activity through digital reporting systems
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, property management, and emergency responders when necessary
• Assist with property access control and monitoring of restricted areas
• Monitor lighting conditions, damaged property, and potential safety hazards
• Provide professional interaction with residents, customers, and employees while maintaining a strong security presence
• Follow company policies, client post orders, and Arizona security regulations at all times

Security Technology and Equipment

Vigilance Protection Services utilizes modern security technology to improve officer accountability, communication, and reporting accuracy.

Officers may utilize the following systems depending on assignment

• Halo Body Worn Cameras used for incident documentation and officer accountability
• Motorola TLK110 Radios providing nationwide push to talk communication between officers and supervisors
• THERMS Digital Reporting Software used for
• GPS tracked activity reports
• Incident reports
• Photo documentation
• Digital security reporting accessible by clients
• QR and NFC digital patrol verification systems used to confirm patrol coverage and officer presence

These tools allow our officers to provide accurate reporting while ensuring transparency for our clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Arizona DPS Armed Security Guard License
• Valid Arizona DPS Unarmed Security Guard License
• Valid Arizona driver license and reliable transportation
• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Ability to pass background screening in accordance with state licensing requirements
• Strong situational awareness and observation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting patrol operations
• Must possess a newer smartphone capable of running modern mobile applications
• Smartphone must support NFC scanning capability for digital patrol checkpoint verification
• Must have reliable mobile data service for submitting patrol reports and incident documentation
• Must successfully pass a firearm qualification examination before being authorized to carry a firearm while on duty
• Must re qualify with firearm standards every 90 days to remain eligible for armed assignments

Officers will utilize their smartphone to complete GPS tracked activity reports, digital patrol verification scans, and incident documentation through company reporting systems.
