Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to loss prevention. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of people and assets through proactive surveillance and conflict management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks.
• Document incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences in detailed reports.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Manage conflicts effectively and de-escalate situations as they arise.
• Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in loss prevention or related fields is a plus.
• Proficiency in surveillance techniques and equipment operation (CCTV).
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective reporting and interaction with clients and law enforcement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.75 – $17.75 per hour
