PalAmerican Security – Security Officer Trainer Needed

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and informative training sessions using various teaching methods.
• Ensure training materials comply with regulations and industry standards.
• Evaluate trainees’ understanding and skills through assessments and feedback.
• Update training programs to reflect changes in policies and best practices.
• Collaborate with management to identify training needs and adjust programs accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant progress.

Must have Demonstrated Proficiency In:

• Defensive tactics
• Retraining for skill maintenance
• Curriculum for security employee preparedness

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Create and manage training schedules, testing modules, and assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
• High level of integrity and fairness in decision-making.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Highly Preferred:

• Instructor Certification in security-related defensive tactics (e.g., De-escalation, Handcuffing, CPR/First Aid).

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience delivering training in relevant security or defensive tactics.
• Valid WA state Security License.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

This role may involve travel to various transit sites and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training schedules.
