Unarmed Security Officer – Grocery Store in Glendale, AZ

IMMEDIATE OPENING: Unarmed Security Officer (Less Than Lethal) – Store Security

Arizona Veteran Security is seeking for Security Officers with "less than lethal" experience for loss prevention and to maintain property security for a large grocery store located in Glendale, AZ. Must possess a fully equipped duty belt.

Full-Time Schedule

• Thursday – Monday
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Part-Time Schedule

• Tuesday – Wednesday
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Pay Rate:

• $19.00 per hour

You must complete all screening questions and submit resume to be considered.

Unarmed Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 20 years of age or older
• Have a current AZ DPS unarmed security guard card
• Must have three (3) years or more experience as a licensed unarmed security officer
• Must have at least two (2) years of "less than lethal" security experience
• Must have own equipment: duty belt, OC spray, baton, handcuffs
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle to report to job site
• Smart phone with a data plan and the ability to operate apps
• Current working email address
• Must be drug free

Job Duties:

• Perform security duties for loss prevention
• Maintain a safe environment for patrons and owners
• Notify command center of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches and/or safety hazards
• Understand and utilize technology products such as a smartphone, computer, or tablet

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform duties
• Lift or carry up to 25 pounds
• Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, notepad, writing reports
• Constant use of eyes to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers
• Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat
• Constant mental alertness and attention to detail
