Arizona Preventive Crime Unit, LLC is seeking an experienced and professional Armed Security Officer II (ASO II)for an ongoing part-time assignment at a family-oriented entertainment establishment in Gilbert, Arizona.

This is not an entry-level security position. Candidates must have verifiable prior law enforcement and/or military experience and possess an active Arizona DPS Armed Security Guard Card.

This position is ideal for an experienced professional looking for a consistent one-night-per-week assignment, with the potential for additional hours as they become available.

Schedule

Every Saturday: 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM

This is a consistent 5-hour-per-week assignment. Additional hours may become available based on company needs and officer availability.

Important Assignment Expectations

This assignment is at a family-oriented establishment operating under a strict hands-off security policy.

Officers are expected to maintain a professional security presence while emphasizing customer service, verbal communication, situational awareness, and de-escalation. Candidates must be comfortable working within this environment and following all client-specific post orders and hands-off protocols.

The presence of a firearm or other duty equipment does not change the expectation that officers exercise restraint, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Verifiable prior law enforcement and/or military experience required
• Active Arizona DPS Armed Security Guard Card required
• Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug screening
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong verbal communication and de-escalation skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to follow post orders and client-specific policies
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Ability to remain alert and maintain situational awareness throughout the shift
• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications for scheduling, communication, timekeeping, and security reporting
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and professional written reports
• Must successfully complete company screening, verification, and onboarding requirements

Duty Equipment

A professional black outer carrier/exterior vest is required.

Candidates who possess their own professional duty equipment are preferred, including:

• Duty-grade handgun
• Level II retention holster or higher from a reputable manufacturer
• Duty belt
• Magazine carrier
• Handcuffs
• OC spray
• Expandable baton
• Taser, preferred when properly trained and authorized

All personally owned firearms and duty equipment must comply with Arizona law, licensing requirements, company policy, and assignment-specific requirements.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate understands that professional armed security is not about looking for confrontation. This assignment requires an officer who can maintain a confident security presence while interacting appropriately with families, employees, management, and members of the public.

We are looking for professionals who know how to communicate first, de-escalate problems, maintain appropriate boundaries, document incidents accurately, and follow the client’s hands-off approach.

Prior law enforcement or military experience is important, but candidates must also be capable of transitioning that experience into a private-sector, customer-focused security environment.

Pay: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on verified experience and qualifications.
