Surveillance Security, Inc. is looking for a professional Armed Security Officer to join our team of Armed Guards for the City of Phoenix. The Armed Security Officer will play a critical role in upholding the safety and security at the City of Phoenix locations. A strong candidate must have at least (2) years of proven experience as an Armed Security Guard and hold a NON-EXPIRED guard card through AZDPS.

This is a full-time role that will involve providing Armed security services for the City of Phoenix at Phoenix City Hall. A strong candidate will have strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

Access Control, Badging, Wanding, running the X-ray machine, Monitoring Surveillance Systems, Escorting City Officials, conducting foot patrols, hourly reporting, and incident reporting.

Opening 1 Shift Coverage Expectations:

• Mon – Fri
• Noon – 8 pm
• No weekends

Initial Requirements and Expectations:

• The Armed Officers hired for this role will be required to take a contract-required background check.
• Must possess a physical Armed Guard Card issued by AZDPS, not expired.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an armed guard.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.

Required and Preferred Skills:

• Excellent Customer Service
• Patrolling & Access Control Procedures knowledge required.
• Incident Reporting knowledge required
• Skilled in Firearms Proficiency & Safety
• Knowledge and skills in Use of Force & De-Escalation
• Strong Communication, both verbal and written, required.
• Integrity & Reliability required.
• Professional Teamwork attitude
• Military or First Responder service, Strongly Preferred

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to perform hourly patrols, which may include working outside in extreme heat.
