As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver calm, professional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, provide directions and assistance, and report unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with medical staff and/or local responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the appropriate channels.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
