Job Description
As a Armed Security Officer – Patrol in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist with access control. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, observations, and response activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
