Security Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional, alert, and dependable Security Guard to protect people, property, and premises. The ideal candidate will monitor activity, control access, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain accurate security reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access for employees, visitors, and authorized personnel.
• Patrol assigned areas and check doors, gates, windows, and restricted areas.
• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other security equipment.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, theft, or property damage.
• Enforce site rules and security procedures.
• Assist visitors and provide information when required.
• Maintain a visible security presence and help ensure a safe environment.
• Contact emergency services when necessary and follow established emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Previous security, loss prevention, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• Valid security guard license/certification if required by the state.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of security procedures and public safety practices.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to operate security and emergency equipment.
• Professional appearance, integrity, and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
