Security Guard – Full time

Stonegates, a luxury retirement community in Greenville, DE has a full time security Guard position at the entrance to the property.

While controlling all vehicular traffic you will greet our residents, visitors, residents’ family and friends, staff, etc. in a congenial manner. You are first visible contact, representing a 5 Star facility and must present a professional, well-groomed image. You will greet all people with personal interest, patience and tactfulness. A qualified candidate possesses integrity, is self-motivating, takes initiative, can work independently with direction, and follows through to conclusion.

Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Record access and egress, following established protocol
• Control safety and security of the people and contents of the property
• Monitor surveillance equipment, camera screens, etc.
• Communication with staff and residents, via radio or telephone in appropriate, timely responses
• Ability to multi-task under pressure and with frequent interruptions
• Written documentation and reporting
• Adhere to policies and procedures, protects personal information

Security Guard Requirements:

• At least one year previous security experience
• Pass the criminal background check and drug screening
• Supportive team mentality, flexibility in scheduling
• May include walking patrol of property on occasion

The schedule is as follows:

Week 1 M-F 8am -4pm

Week 2 M-W 8am-4pm Sat/Sun 4pm-12am
