Job Title: Armed Floater Security Officer

Location: Pottstown, PA & surrounding areas

Schedule: Floater | Flexible Hours Required

Pay: $20.60 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Armed Floater Security Officer to provide coverage at various locations. This role focuses on observing, reporting, maintaining a safe environment, and protecting personnel and property while adapting to different sites and assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct foot, vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle patrols as assigned
• Monitor premises and report suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Respond to incidents and emergencies using appropriate armed security protocols
• Write clear, detailed incident and daily activity reports (DARs)
• Enforce site rules, policies, and post orders
• Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors when needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable personal transportation
• Open availability with flexibility to work various shifts
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain professional, handle situations calmly, and respond appropriately in armed situations
• 
  Active Act 235 certification (PA Armed Security License)
• 
  Must own and maintain a duty belt, holster, and firearm

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, military, or customer service
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage multiple tasks

Additional Requirements

• Must meet all state licensing/registration requirements for armed security officers
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle or other patrol equipment if needed
• Must complete any client-specific background or drug screening, if required
