Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a security officer and/or certification from a security officer-training program. Ability to deal effectively with disruptive patients or visitors. Complete operational knowledge of the medical center with ability to direct patients or visitors to appropriate destinations. Must be able to deal with people in an effective manner. The ability to anticipate a problem/situation and use preventive intervention effectively. Must be CPR certified.
Duties include: Patrol areas of building, parking lot and grounds to assure patients/employees security and prevent damage to or loss of company and employee/patient property; Assist in maintaining a proper work atmosphere at the site which includes; dealing with disruptive patients or persons coming into the center whose conduct could affect the proper functioning of the center; To assist center staff and patients in need of assistance; Promote GPHA’s vision and mission to staff, patients and the public at large; Maintain confidentiality regarding patient/client and employee information; Provide services, as directed, at facilities other than a GPHA location in the event that an incident that compromises the safety, security or integrity of the United States of America should occur.
