Job Description

As a Security Guard – Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Newtown Square, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, report concerns, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with professional service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and support an orderly environment.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas based on site procedures.
• Complete required documentation such as patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate observations and/or policy violations to supervision according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
