General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities, Including, But Not Limited To: Under general supervision, patrols the Zoological Park to maintain and safeguard life and property against fire, vandalism and theft.

Examples of Typical Tasks:

• Patrols the Zoological Park, maintaining peace, reprimands and ejects loiterers and disorderly persons.
• Calls for police when necessary and represents the Zoo when required pertaining to summonses issued, arrests made, or when court appearances are required.
• Records daily actions and makes reports as required.
• Monitors walkie-talkie / radio and responds to calls for service.
• Performs related tasks as required.
• Will work required shifts.
• May be required to operate a motor vehicle (Patrol etc.)
• Safeguard and maintain equipment (vehicle, radios, etc.)

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Valid New York State Security Guard Registration Card.
• Valid 16 hour Security Certificate.
• Valid 8 hour Security Certificate.
• Must be able to work Saturdays, Sundays and all holidays.
