Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is highly valued, along with certifications such as CPR and First Aid. The Security Officer plays a crucial role in loss prevention and maintaining a secure environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies
• Enforce access control policies by verifying identification and authorizations
• Assist in conflict management and de-escalate situations to prevent escalation of disputes
• Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs
• Provide first aid or CPR when necessary until professional medical help arrives
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during investigations or emergencies
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or vandalism
• Maintain a professional presence that reassures staff, visitors, and clients

Experience

• Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is preferred
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and security protocols is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability in conflict management and crisis response
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security equipment
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
