Security/Fire Guard (F04 Certified)

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Fire Guard/Fire Watch/ Security professional with a current FDNY F-04 certification to ensure safety and compliance at a nightlife event this month. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the frontline defender against fire hazards, conducting continuous surveillance to prevent fires and respond swiftly to emergencies. Your proactive presence will help protect personnel, property, and ongoing operations by maintaining a secure environment through diligent monitoring and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular fire watch patrols across designated areas, monitoring for signs of fire hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain constant visual surveillance of construction sites, facilities, or critical infrastructure to detect potential fire risks early.
• Communicate promptly with emergency responders in the event of a fire or safety incident, providing clear and accurate information.
• Document all observations, inspections, and incidents thoroughly in shift reports for accountability and compliance purposes.
• Ensure that fire prevention measures such as clear access routes, extinguishers, and alarm systems are properly maintained and unobstructed.
• Assist with construction inspections related to fire safety standards and ensure adherence to local codes and regulations.

Requirements

• Valid F-04 FDNY and Security certification required.
• Proven experience in security, construction inspection, or fire safety roles preferred.
• Knowledge of system design principles related to fire alarm systems, sprinkler fitting, and alarm system sales is advantageous.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential hazards proactively.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and coordinating with emergency responders.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during patrols and inspections in various weather conditions.
