Armed Security Officer

Job Overview
Interested in joining our team of Armed/ Security Officers? Our officers are responsible for monitoring and protecting our Cannabis dispensaries. We’re looking for individuals who are able to adhere to strict safety protocols, control difficult situations and effectively communicate with both customers and managerial staff. The successful candidates for this position will be responsible for ensuring the security of our team members, visitors, clients and company property by regularly patrolling the property.

Duties

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Perform armed patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations
• Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees while controlling access points with professionalism and courtesy
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or fraud activities and reporting findings accordingly
• Administer first aid or CPR when necessary, providing immediate assistance until emergency services arrive
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incident responses as required

Skills

• Proven experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a focus on armed security roles
• Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV systems and other security technology
• Excellent conflict management abilities to handle tense situations calmly and effectively
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification to provide emergency medical assistance when needed
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security protocols to protect assets
• Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining high attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with emergency responders and team members

Pay: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour
