Inter-Con Security is hosting a hiring event for Airport Security Officers supporting the LaGuardia Airport area and is seeking experienced candidates for immediate openings.

This is a strong opportunity for candidates in the Bronx seeking consistent, higher-paying security roles within a major airport environment.

This is not an entry-level role. Qualified, experienced candidates only.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum 2 years of security experience required
• Military or Criminal Justice background accepted
• Valid Driver’s License REQUIRED
• Valid New York State Guard Card REQUIRED
• High School Diploma or GED

Airport Security Agent

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report suspicious activity to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Control access to restricted areas, including screening personnel and vehicles
• Enforce site rules, post orders, and all applicable security procedures
• Conduct routine patrols, inspections, and perimeter checks
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies including fire, medical, and security threats
• Assist with traffic control, access coordination, and contractor escorts as needed
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports
• Provide assistance to the public when appropriate while maintaining security priorities
• Support emergency response efforts and follow direction from site leadership

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to incidents
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs if required
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying conditions
