Retired Law Enforcement Armed Security Officer (Elmsford, NY)

Full job description

Security patrols, armed visual deterrence, access control, command presence, situational awareness, and professional conduct in a school environment. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.

· Control access points and enforce visitor management procedures

· Respond to incidents and support school administration during emergencies

· Support school safety drills and emergency preparedness efforts

· Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

· Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

· Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Security Officer Skills and Qualifications:

o Minimum 3 years security experience (school, municipal, or institutional preferred)

Schedule:

· Shifts hours: 8 Hour shifts

· Monday – Friday

· Pay Rate: Starting $27.00 Per Hour

· Weekly direct deposit

· Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Avail

Education:

· High school or equivalent (Required)

· Completion of a Police/Corrections/Sheriff/Peace Officer Academy (Required)

Experience:

· Law Enforcement Experience: 3 years (Required)

· Graduation of a Law Enforcement Academy (Required)

· Security Officer Experience: 3 years (Required)

Language:

· English (Required)

License/Certification/Availability:

· Law Enforcement ID Card from an agency

· New York State armed security guard license

· State of New York Carry permit
