K9 Handler

MUST HAVE CURRENT SECURITY GUARD LICENSE FOR NEW YORK.
NO PRIOR K9 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional K9 handler to provide security and protection for our premises, personnel, and assets; with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and maintain a secure environment. This role requires a high level of responsibility, integrity, and alertness to ensure public safety.

Responsibilities

• Care and maintenance of your assigned K9
• Conduct sweeps of your assigned post to ensure public safety
• Maintain a safe distance from all civilians in order to preserve the safety of the K9 and those around them
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management skills
• Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies as needed
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment

Qualifications

• No prior K9 experience required
• Valid New York unarmed security license required
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable
• Strong surveillance skills
• Excellent conflict management and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour
