Unarmed Security Guard

Security Guard positions are being offered in PEEKSKILL NY, 10566 to work in residential buildings.
SALARY IS $17.00 AN HOUR
Responsibilities include the following: Screen visitors and deter unauthorized access to buildings. Respond to complaints from tenants and conduct vertical and perimeter inspections of buildings.
May be assigned to work in the security office and answer phones. Must perform duties as instructed by superiors and enforce company and client rules. Must be able to observe suspicious people and/or incidents and be able to articulate what occurred verbally, and must be able to detail incidents in written reports. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and climb stairs to conduct patrols. Must ensure that all doors, windows and gates on properties remain secured. Must be able to approach people committing rule infractions / violations and advise them of consequences.

Job Requirements: Candidates MUST have both 8-hour and 16 hour Training Certificates AND a valid, up to date NYS Security Guard License. Candidates must have a neat and professional appearance, must be able to understand and communicate information in a manner that others can understand, must be able to write detailed reports, and must be able to keep a detailed and accurate account of daily activities in provided log books. Must be able to stand, sit, and/or walk for prolonged periods, may have to climb stairs.

Hours: Vary – We are a 24-hour business – hours will vary. Some overtime may be required. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (may have to work holidays, nights and/or weekends).
