Security Officer – Part Time

Two different schedules available:

• Schedule 1: Mon 11pm-7am, Thu & Fri 5:30pm-11pm
• Schedule 2: Sat and Sun 4PM-12AM

Pay Rate: $18.50hr

Duties

• Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas, to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
• Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring proper authorization before granting access
• Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping
• Enforce loss prevention measures by observing and intervening in potential theft or misconduct situations
• Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations while following established protocols to assist injured individuals or stabilize critical conditions

Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
• Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and alarm monitoring is preferred
• Demonstrated ability in conflict management and de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations effectively
• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security procedures to proactively safeguard assets
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities
• Background screening required once position offered
• Drivers License Required
