School Security Officer (Retired Law Enforcement) – Full-Time

Location: Scarsdale, NY

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (No Nights or Weekends)

Pay: $25.00 per hour | Weekly Pay

What You’ll Do

As a School Security Officer, you will:

• Maintain a highly visible security presence throughout the campus.
• Patrol assigned areas and monitor school grounds to help ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Observe, report, and respond appropriately to security concerns and suspicious activity.
• Assist with access control and visitor management.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms in accordance with company and client procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident and activity reports.
• Assist in de-escalating situations while maintaining professionalism and composure.
• Communicate effectively with school administrators, staff, fellow officers, and supervisors.
• Utilize the company’s scheduling and reporting systems for timekeeping and documentation.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Retired Law Enforcement Officer or Honorably Discharged Military Veteran
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• Completion of the NYS 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Course
• Minimum of 5 years of security experience
• Minimum of 3 years of security experience in a school or educational setting
• Strong communication, observation, and report writing skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies

Preferred:

• Current CPR/AED Certification
• Experience working with students, educators, or public institutions
